David Franj (David Aldo Frangiosa) is an Australian singer-songwriter and producer known for ARIA-charting releases and multi-platinum songwriting credits.
He first emerged as a solo artist in 2002 via Shock Records and Standard Publishing, releasing his debut album Wrong Place, Wrong Time (2003), which produced three ARIA Top 40 singles including “Oxygen” and “Never Be Amazing”.
Franj later transitioned into songwriting, most notably co-writing “Perfect” for Vanessa Amorosi, a major Australian hit that reached the ARIA Top 5 and achieved multi-platinum success. The song became one of the most widely played Australian recordings of its era and remains a defining credit in his catalog.
As a songwriter, he has collaborated with a range of Australian and international artists across pop and contemporary music, including Jon Stevens, Rick Price, Bobby Fox, Nuno Bettencourt, and Matthew Gerrard, contributing to a diverse body of work spanning mainstream pop and rock production.
He continues to work as an independent artist and songwriter, releasing new music and maintaining an active presence in contemporary music production and composition.
